Jamie J Rice,  born to generous and loving parents in Salt Lake City, Utah, 1967.

Never residing East of the Continental Divide, Jamie has called several western cities home; some briefly and others lasting many years. "I have been fortunate to have resided in such beautiful cities. I believe that I was able to experience these cities when they were at their most inviting and pleasant. Long before much overcrowding, suburban sprawl, heavy traffic and pollution I called these beautiful patches of Earth home".

Since 2003 he resides north of Tucson in Oro Valley, Arizona.  "We are a charming community of 55,000 residents, with all the ammenities and conveniences and a growing hi-tech and medical industry".

A true Leo, Jamie is creative, talented and loves to entertain. Governed, he is, by the element of fire and ruled by the brazen sun.

As a boy, Jamie was never without his pencils and drawing pads. In his late teens, he exchanged his love of drawing for big hair and a monster drum set.  Jamie performed in several rock bands through the late 1980’s to 2000. "These were among my most fun and adventurous years. I miss performing on stage and the camaraderie of my band mates".

Always the entrepreneur, and at his core, more refined than he dare expose on any beer soaked stage in any smoky bar in America, Jamie reinvented himself as a personal estate manager and personal assistant to the affluent and idle rich. No vocation could expect an individual to don so many hats and juggle those hats on demand. For nearly 10 years, Jamie competently provided for his clients a multi-layered arsenal of duties; including: chef, guard, chauffeur, errand and handy-man, friend, consultant, liaison, personal shopper, surrogate parent, and therapist, and all before noon.

With the marvelous advances in personal computers and graphic art applications, Jamie revisited his love for creating art. Jamie draws inspiration from places he has visited and from imagination.

He is forever and a day challenged by the quality inherent that seeks perfection and can bog him down in the minutia of a task. Once overcoming this impediment his goal is to create, rather than replicate.

Jamie Rice is pouring his creative energies into creating art cards and successfully entering the greeting card market.
